we have been buried with Christ in Baptism,
that we may walk with him in newness of life.
And so, let us renew the promises of Holy Baptism,
which we once renounced Satan and his works
and promised to serve God in the holy Catholic Church.
And so I ask you:
V. Do you reject Satan
R. I do.
V. And all his works?
R. I do.
V. And all his empty promises?
R. I do.
V. Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth?
R. I do.
V. Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?
R. I do.
V. Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
R. I do.
V. God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has given us a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit, and forgiven all our sins. May he also keep us faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever.
R. Amen.
(This is a family service that is directed by one of the parents. The family members renew their baptismal vows and sprinkle the Easter water)
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
Check your Baptismal Card and thank God for that greatest day of your life, attend Mass, or book Mass, celebrate that day like no other. It is the greatest day of your life.
“If you’re a God-Parent remember it’s your duty to ensure that your God-Child renews his/her Baptismal vow & live up to his/her Baptismal Promises.”
“Renewal of Baptismal Promises.
A partial indulgence is granted to those who renew their baptismal promises according to any formula in use; but a PLENARY INDULGENCE is granted if this is done in celebration of the Paschal Vigil or on the anniversary of one’s baptism.”

2. Receive Holy Communion (also within 20 days before or after).
3. Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father (usually by praying one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be).
4. Have complete detachment from all sin, even venial sin (in other words, a complete rejection of the desire to commit any sin whatsoever).
5. Complete the specific prayers or works declared by the Church for the reception of the indulgence.
Baptism (My Greatest Day)
Do you know that
The day of your Baptism was the greatest day of your life.
My ordination day as a priest on the 29th of June 1975 (now 44 years) was not the greatest day of my life, your marriage, or day of your First Holy Communion or Confirmation was not the greatest day your life.
Let me tell you, it was your Baptism day.
The day you first had an encounter with God’s ~~~GRACE~~~
You & I were welcomed into the family of God. We were called sons & daughters of God.
Baptism is not just about taking away ORIGINAL SIN but what it does.
First It gives us new life in Christ
Secondly it gives us a new identity
Thirdly it gives us a new name
It gives us a mission to continue the work of Christ.
It makes us call God “Abba” Father
It makes us born again in Christ
We are brothers & Sisters
It gives us new creation
with new identity “I AM A CHILD OF GOD”
I have been washed, anointed, healed & enlightened in the name of Jesus
Above all I’m given the power of the “HOLY SPIRIT”
